CAFE CAMBIO
Cafe Cambio in Chicoutimi, Saguenay, is a cooperative restaurant and coffee micro-roastery that champions fair trade, organic products, and sustainable practices. Since 2005, it has been a benchmark in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region for its commitment to fair trade and responsible consumption, employing 25 workers, 13 of whom are cooperative members. The cafe actively engages in carbon offsetting initiatives and supports reforestation projects to minimize its environmental impact. Additionally, Cafe Cambio runs various social initiatives, such as providing free meals to those in need and operating on a cooperative model based on values of solidarity, social justice, environmental respect, and inclusivity.
