Canfor Corporation is an integrated forest products company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with roots dating back to the late 1930s. It was founded by brothers-in-law John G. Prentice and L.L.G. "Poldi" Bentley and has grown to become a leading producer of softwood lumber, specialty wood products, and engineered wood products. The company also owns a controlling share in Canfor Pulp Limited, which produces northern softwood kraft pulp and kraft paper. Canfor has a wide range of operations and offices, including a recent acquisition of a wood products company in Sweden. With over 6,300 employees, Canfor is a significant player in the forest products industry.
